Community School's 45th Annual Strawberry Festival returns this weekend!
Official Edible Partner Sponsored Post
If your idea of a perfect spring day includes strawberries, sunshine, and live music in the park, you’re in luck. Roanoke’s sweetest tradition is almost here! The 45th Annual Strawberry Festival presented by OCD HVAC is happening May 2 and 3 at Elmwood Park — a free, family-friendly event that’s open to everyone (dogs included!).
This year, you’ll find us stretched out along the South Lawn of Elmwood Park near the downtown library. Picture winding walkways, springtime flower beds in full bloom and grassy picnic spaces to enjoy homemade shortcakes, strawberry sundaes and chocolate-dipped berries.
On Saturday, the Elmwood Amphitheater will host live local music and entertainment. Around the park, you’ll spot street performers like balloon artists, face painters, and buskers bringing a little extra joy to the day.
🍓 Want to skip the line?
Grab a Radford University 4 Pack (shortcakes and sundaes) to save some cash and mix & match dessert tickets. Order dessert tickets online before the festival and save time when you arrive.
Stuck at work on Friday? You can also grab a Shortcake-To-Go Kit (Friday Only) for pick-up or delivery. They’re perfect for sharing with coworkers, surprising a teacher, or thanking a nurse. Order now - the deadline is April 30th! StrawberryFestivalroanoke.org/shortcakes-to-you
🍓Heading to a downtown concert Friday night? We’re staying open an extra hour on Friday, until 7:00 PM, so you can swing by for a signature shortcake before the show. It’s the perfect way to kick off your night out in Roanoke.
🍓Festival Hours:
Friday, May 2: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (now with an extra hour)
Saturday, May 3: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
We hope to see you there!
