Our Summer issue has landed!

Friday, a large truck rumbled down our quiet street, brakes echoing the squeal of a distant train as it pulled to a stop. My husband and I received two skids stacked high with magazines —weighing some 2,434 pounds— and hurriedly filled our cars and started distributing magazines across the region.
Our summer issue is all about innovation. From solutions both big and small, discover how growers, makers and artisans across the region are breaking molds and finding solutions.
As usual, inside you’ll find our Edible Excursions column and this time we’re headed to Smith Mountain Lake and Bedford to soak in summer ⛵. And, of course, you’ll find a few recipes to enjoy while you tend your garden.
